Quote of the day:

"Each photograph is a story captured in a single moment"

Author: M.Lopez

Photography is capturing the extraordinary meaning in each ordinary moment, and weaving these strands together to tell a story – your story - to hold, to share, to remember.

Old places~

Offer the most interesting photos. My granny was born in this house, and it holds many memories of my childhood. I wanted to capture some images of my kids here..............

There is nothing sweeter than the laughter of your child.

Thank heaven for grandma's! These two were NOT feeling these pictures yesterday, grandma snuck up behind and bought out a few laughs.

{Take my picture mama}

Trey & I had a day out alone yesterday shopping. If you know Trey, then you know he HATES anything shopping related (unless its a toy store of course) He has cried since he was 6-8 months old when in stores. We were in a store once & he would not stop crying, we headed towards the door & he just stopped. We actually weren't leaving at that moment, we were just looking in a section close to the door. When we turned & he realized he was not going out the door he screamed his head off. We had to end up leaving. LOL So yesterday, I had it in my head to look for fabrics for the nursery, so I had to bribe Trey with ice cream to not cry about going (and to be on his best behavior while there) I even made a game out of it, I gave him a list of things he had to find in the craft store (horse, ball , puppy etc) He found everything on his list & was such a good boy he got his ice cream!! It was a nice day out with my lil' man.

This was early that morning, he got dressed & came down and said "Take my picture mama". I did not object :) You gotta jump at these opportunities.

My girl

She must have been loving the fact that school was 2 hours late this day b/c she let me take her picture! And...... she didnt make a horrible face. Its nice when I can get her to be ok with the camera being in her face.

Snow boy

Remember being little? Remember the joy & excitement that came along with the snow? Staying outside for hours until your hands and feet literally hurt. Now that I'm older, it doesnt excite me like it used to. I as a mother find joy & contentment in watching the magic through my children. Even though I'm an adult now, there will always be magic in this house....... it shines in my children.

January
Now is here --
A fine new start
For a whole new year.

The snow comes down
In the dark of night.
When we awake
The world is white.

In January
When there's snow,
We get our sleds
And away we go.

Mama's bed.

Two from this morning while the kids were laying in my bed. We got around 2 inches of snow last night & Kailey was so holding out for a snow day. Nope, only 2 hours late.
