Wasn’t it just yesterday
I buckled you in tight
Making sure you were snug
And everything was fastened right
I couldn’t help but keep looking back
Barely visible were your tiny feet
Taking home my baby girl
You were just too little for that seat
Fast forward one year later
That seat is now just too small
Its now time for a big girl seat
And it just doesn’t seem right at all
So please just look past me
As I keep turning to look back
Watching you take in
The new view you once lacked
I watch you look in wonder
While you hold onto your feet
Oh my sweet baby girl..
You are just too little for that seat.
