{my family = my world}

I asked my friend to snap some of my family yesterday after I took hers. I must say it was very different being in front of the camera rather than behind- I so needed a twin so that I could have control of every aspect. Didnt my friend to a great job? She knows how picky I am- about many things. heehe. Even she said- I would never do this all the time, I didnt like taking those pictures. haha. Thank you for taking some for us- I want my children to be able to see me some pictures too. :)

This is my family- I love them. Here are my favorite 4 captured.

{and the itsy bitsy spider, went up the spout again}

Thats the song that my friend sings to her kids everynight before bed. She is a single mom- and one of the strongest women I know. I'm very proud of her, b/c I know how tough these past 4 years have been. She teaches her kids that no matter how many times life knocks you down- you get back up and keep climbing. :)

Christmas is just around the corner

Have you thought about gifts?? What about a storyboard for the grandparents? What grandparent wouldnt love a storyboard of their grandchildren? If you have had a session with me- let me design a storyboard just for you!! Didnt purchase one when you placed your order?? Ask the grandparents to purchase one for you for christmas. Its the perfect gift.... :) Must be ordered by November 30th.!! You can have the storyboard framed, display on a shelf, or displayed on an easel. (easel does not come with storyboard. These can be purchased at many craft stores or walmart). Storyboards can be changed to add your favorite quote.

Here are some samples. Please email me for pricing. jessicadeanephotography@yahoo.com

Pumpkin patch

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch on sunday..... they always enjoy it. I didnt get many pictures b/c I was too busy enjoying the day with my kids. We went through a corn maze (and I even cheated and asked two little boys how to get out) SHHH!! We had a wonderful evening. I did take a few snaps here and there... mostly scenery which is unusual for me. I asked my father in law to snap a pic of my family.

-In my backyard-

The kids went outside to play this morning before the rain set it.... and I decided to grab my camera and catch some of their everyday moments. Its easy to get caught up in sessions that I forget to capture what inspired me to begin my photography journey to begin with.... my children. I love these times when its just me and my camera... no one but myself to please. It doesnt matter if I get everything correct ...... its just me having fun.

As you can tell, they enjoyed coloring on my sidewalk... wonderful masterpeices... by two of my favorite artists....

{Beauty in fall}

Fall has to be one of the most beautiful things our eyes will ever behold. The burst of wonderful color, just before the dead winter.

I would like to know... what is your favorite thing about fall? A color? pumpkins? smells?? Please leave a comment and let me know!

I have a few favorite things about fall.... the colors, the smell of pumpkin candles burning on my island, and leaves dancing when I drive over them on the road.

--- Autumns beauty---
The rain falls gently
Quenching the thirst of a landscape
Parched by the rays of the hot summer sun.

The song of the birds is now silenced.
The petals of a once brilliant flower have faded
A bright, azure sky with soft white clouds is gone,
Replaced by the gray dampness of the season.

The caressing breeze of summer
Has turned into the blustering winds of fall.
Leaves, once proudly perched on the limbs of trees,
Now dance gaily through the air,
Brightly colored in the warm tones of autumn.

Children laughing merrily on their way
As they hear the crackling sound of leaves beneath their feet.
A jack-o-lantern sits in the window,
Showing a wide, toothless grin or scowling frown.

The snapping of pitch from a burning log,
The faint scent of pine filling the room.
Flames leaping about as if it were a ballet
Performing for its audience.
The soft, comforting glow of candlelight,
Bringing with it serenity and quiet thoughts.

I sit in amazement watching all that is around me.
Yes, there is a God.
Only He could have made the wonders I see before me.
I will accept the solitude and indifference of winter
So I may anticipate and appreciate
The re- birth of spring.
